In Constant Practice to See
The structure of our team was curated to build meaningful collaborations and revelations that result in the continued cultivation of meaningful design.
In a society that is anchored on moving quickly and digitally separated, the art of seeing is lost. And to see is to learn, absorb, and progress. It is our responsibility as leaders and designers to activate the senses, to ask the people around us - and our team members - to pause.
Our annual Summer retreat came from just this. To travel into Manhattan witness art and be together to see. The Nexus team has grown double this year. To highlight our talent and teams, we started the day at an Escape Room.
Solving puzzles and challenges within a limited time frame cultivates the real word requirement to think outside the box, enhance critical thinking skills, and apply creative problem-solving techniques.
Energized, we headed to lunch before getting to the MOMA. Where we explored permanent exhibits and the Architecture Now exhibit.

“When I crawled out of my shell here and took the first step toward doing things— they kept coming and I kept doing them so that I have hardly had time to think.”
Georgia O’Keeffe
Inspiration is not all curated, it is in the pause we allow ourselves to revel in, to further exploration and imagination as a fluid and dynamic notion to progress.
