A vintage enclosed existing kitchen was dramatically opened up to adjacent family room areas by removing walls and utilizing a multifunction island as anchor/design feature. The resulting new kitchen enhanced functionality while creating a fresh contemporary experience. The new kitchen set a baseline theme towards developing surrounding interior design elements. Implementing the new vision of space required clear span structural modifications, working in tandem with Today's Kitchen and partnering with the client to fully understand desired patterns of use.
