Westchester Joint Water Works

Nexus Creative was engaged by Westchester Joint Water Works to join an extensive consultant team to design and advance the new 38,000sf/$138 million filtration facility on a 13-acre site in Purchase, NY through a complex approvals process.

Nexus Creative served as the building design consultant assisting Hazen Sawyer who served as the engineer and architect of record. Nexus Creative also significantly contributed to site design/master planning, site amenities, landscape design and public/municipal engagement visuals.   The building design incorporated faceted volumes to scale the building within its context as well as introduce regional architectural signatures.  Sustainable features were also integrated into the design massing along with sensitive material selections.  Active and passive design features reflect an extensive roster of Green Building initiatives.

Nexus harnessed advanced site context scanning, rendering and visualization technology to develop extensive, accurate and realistic renderings.  The sophisticated visualizations were required to satisfy a discerning public as well as exhaustive governmental agency reviews, including the Town of Harrison, Westchester County, New York State, DEP, DEC, EPA and FAA.
